Access to the Internet can be a real challenge when on the road, even with multiple ways to connect. Today we moved south just an hour to Colorado Springs and the resort Internet is spotty and we have virtually no cell signal, so this may be a short post with limited pictures at best.
At a very early 5am Sammi joined up with us from her South Dakota mission trip. Missy went to the airport at 4 to get her! We are now all synced up for the rest of the trip.
On our way south, we drove past the US Air Force Academy and decided to stop in. We toured the visitors center and walked over to the chapel. The chapel is an amazing structure which has won a number of design awards. The consensus rating was a 7.75 out of 10, with Alex deciding he wants to join the Air Force and go to the Academy!
From there, we checked out the US Olympic training center in Colorado Springs. This was quite an impressive campus. It mostly plays host to gymnasts, swimmers, wrestlers and target shooting Olympic hopefuls. Overall rating was a solid 8.
This evening we swam in the resort pool and went to bed early.
